AboutAngela

When you work with The Quirky Creative, you don’t get a

secretly outsourced “team” of writers and editors.

No, you get me: a dedicated, passionate, experienced professional who eats, breathes and sleeps the written word. I care about your business as much as I care about my own—and that consideration will be evident in every interaction. For example, before beginning any project, I take the time necessary to understand your business and your writing or editing needs fully. While this means it may take us a few days to get started, it also means that you’re likely to receive perfect to near-perfect copy with the very first draft.

MEET ANGELA LEIGH ROSE, THE QUIRKY CREATIVE

I’ve been obsessed with words since childhood, penning my very first “novel” at the age of 11. An epic 10-page adventure involving several princesses, Yoda and He-Man’s arch nemesis Skeletor—and meticulously inked on wide-ruled notebook paper—it received critical acclaim from the two dozen people who read it, though my grandmother thought it could use more character development.
After a high school literary career crafting emotionally overwrought poetry, I stepped away from fiction to study Journalism and Mass Communication at the University of Colorado. This was followed by more than a decade working as the creative director and lead writer at a real estate marketing agency. Though I founded The Quirky Creative in 2003, I did not make the leap to full time freelancing until 2012. You can learn more about that exciting experience in my interview with Guru.com.
When I’m not removing cats from my keyboard, you can find me searching for the perfect taco, running 5Ks, whipping up original pastry recipes, visiting local craft breweries and hiking the Colorado mountains with my photographer husband.

MEET JEZZIECAT, EXECUTIVE OBSERVERJezzie

An expert in micromanagement, macromanagement and mice management, Jezziecat spends her days keeping a close eye on Angela’s work habits as well as the rest of The Quirky Creative feline team. While this requires sleeping with one eye open–while draped across a keyboard or notebook–she always tackles her duties without complaint.

TeganMEET TEGAN THE FLOOF, EXECUTIVE INTERRUPTER

All work and no play makes Angela a dull girl–or at least that’s what Tegan the Floof believes. In her role as Executive Interrupter, she ensures her boss takes a five minute break every 10 minutes. Not one to take no for an answer, the Floof has patented several innovative interruption tactics such as hand biting, head bunting and screen obstruction.

GabbyMEET GABBER T. TABBER, CHIEF OF NAPPING TECHNOLOGY

If napping were an Olympic sport, Gabber T. Tabber would win gold medals daily. Adept at catching shut eye in any position or location throughout The Quirky Creative campus, Miss Tabber has been known to spend up to 16 hours tirelessly snoozing for the benefit of her team. While she does not snore, drool is always a possibility.
